Forum Profile Badges

Add icons (badges) that can be displayed on your forum's profile!

People could choose up to 3 to display on their profile at a time, and they could be given out for a multitude of reasons, such as:

• Milestones

  • 100 posts,

  • getting/giving 100 reactions,

  • 50 friends, etc.

• Winning an event

• Monthly top poster

• Time being a forum member

  • 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 1 year, etc.

Hovering over badges on someone's profile can then tell you how and when they obtained it, as well as how many people have it.

I feel like this would be a great way to boost community by encouraging people to participate in forums and/or events on the server, while also being a cool thing people can put on their profile to make it more unique!

When choosing your badges it should be able to show all existing badges even if you don't own them so you can see what to work towards in terms of milestones, with an easy toggle to switch between showing "All" badges or just "Owned'.

You should then also be able to further filter based on how they were obtained (milestones, events, etc.), and then have the ability to sort the results based on a variety of factors such as rarity, alphabetical order, date obtained, etc.

Yeah this would be super cool and would encourage activity on forums.

A badge recommendation I have is your original join date of LC displaying a "_ year veteran" as a tag, similar to some other servers I've played on.

The badges look great! However, the badges for how long you've played on the server seem to be off. I've been a member for over 10 years and don't have that badge, and I know other players with similar timelines who also don't have it.

Here's what shows on my end, along with screenshots that I was in fact a member (and even staff) more than 10 years ago:

I'd also love the early member badge assuming this meets out the criteria. If it doesn't, I'm quite curious what the criteria for that badge is.

Sadly we only have data going back to 2018. So if it didn't get "logged" at that time then you won't have it sadly.

But if you provide verifiable proof, then a manual grant can be possible. This is for anyone else reading this and want to prove they should have a badge etc.

Would it be possible to give the badge out if players provide proof? For example I provided evidence that I should have it, maybe some system like that? As long as it doesn't become too laborious for staff since right now it would only be for the 10 year badge.
