Allow us to change our usernames on forums

A friend of mine made their forums account through discord, and because they have special characters in their discord name, they got assigned a random username on forums. It would be great if we could edit our usernames on here. Right now we cannot.

same for display names, My username used to be just "Natt" with the option to change it, since linking my minecraft it's locked to "_Nattzu", feels like i've been downgraded for linking my profiles lmao

Then he should link his minecraft. We want all forum accounts to be identifiable to their in-game usernames so appeals etc are more clear.

They linked their minecraft, but their @ is still random. It changed their display name but not their username, so they still have a random user.

To add, perhaps the best solution could be to make the player's username default to their minecraft name, and leave the "display name" as a customizable feature?

So for example I could make my display name "cow" and my @ could remain "cowpuns"

"HE" AKA ME HAS LINKED BOTH MINECRAFT AND DISCORD! I HATE IT! SOMEONE HELP ME! THIS IS NOT RIGHT. You say you want it related to peoples in-game names BUT "playerty" is not me nor related to me in any way shape or form.

But why do our display names need to be locked as our Minecraft names, when you can just click on anyones profile and see "Linked as _Nattzu"

also by username, they're talking about the @... handle not the display
