Friend lists / Broadcasts

Gonna pre-emptively say that maybe this is a bad idea.. but I know LC used to have a /friend feature and I was wondering whether this would be something that could come back/we would want back?

I'm thinking cross-gamemode join/leave msg that you can toggle. I also like /bc /broadcast where you can send a message out to your whole friends list, although I understand that some people would find that annoying so would need a toggle option too.

I imagine it would be moderated like party/gang/is chat.
