I think it would be good if there was a map area introduced to be able to make custom maps. I know these can be made on a 128x128 platform; however, for small prison plots, small sb islands, or small survival claims where it would have to be outside of the claim and others could nab your art, it’s not really feasible. Especially considering builders would likely want to have a bunch of designs, and that means building and tearing down, or wasting layers of an island or plot to make multiple.

I would suggest a warp, either within each gamemode, or a global warp, where players can access a 128x128 platform, with a creative mode inventory to be able to design custom maps, and then once done, wipe it clean with the press of a button.

The maps could be created by a command such as /map create [name], where it will save to a players library, but also be given a serial number for reasons stated below. They could be stored globally or per mode with a command such as /maps, where each player can access their own designed maps.

I understand there may be concerns about abuse, by players creating custom maps displaying indecent images, banned words or phrases, etc. To prevent this, I would suggest that maybe all generated maps could be stored (staff/server side) and given unique codes/serial numbers (NBT data?), where if a disallowed pattern or abusive map was created, that code could be wiped and all maps with that code would be deleted. They could be periodically checked by staff through viewing the stored maps and deleting any they feel necessary, along with the respective punishment. There could also be walls to it, in the sense of only certain ranks will have access to the map area, or if it was per gamemode, it would be an expensive plot/island upgrade to gain access. This would prevent new players or alt accounts being made to just cause harm with this feature. That way only played with time and effort spent, and likely something to lose, would gain access.

Alternatively, to drive some traffic towards the creative gamemode, this could be done there, providing there is adequate plot space, no longer requiring the need for a custom area for it, and just creating the suggested commands. /map create /maps, and if it was on a players creative plot maybe a /clear plot, if that does not already exist. These could then as mentioned above be stored globally for use on any gamemode.

Not important to the suggestion, but this could also provide a fun way of trading or earning money or lemons for those who are prefer the build side of things. I’d happily pay a builder to create me something whilst I’m designing some redstone spaghetti.
